After 6/13 June Scholastic, no summer Saturday classes, club reopens in September.

Summer of Chess

All summer tournaments held at the Way of the Sword fencing club, at 21 Governor Street, Ridgefield CT. Start time is Saturday 9:30 AM, expected end time is 1 PM latest depending on gameplay.

Are you a senior (50+) who enjoys playing chess (but not against kids)? This tournament is for you, $25 cash prize to section winner.

Open to adults and scholastic players, section open to players with rating under 1700, $50 cash prize to section winner.

July 25th - July Scholastic (Unrated, U400)

Is your child ready for their first chess tournament? Join us in Ridgefield for a welcoming K-12 event with two beginner-friendly options. For a low-stress introduction to tournament play, choose the Unrated Section. If your child is ready for official competition, the U400 Section pairs them with other beginners to start earning a chess rating. Both sections offer a supportive environment for first-time players.
